Publication Ethics

The International Martial Arts and Culture Journal is a journal based on sports researchers, academics and practitioners. Articles are published through a process in accordance with scientific principles and scientific publications. And therefore, all parties involved in the process of publishing a published Journal (Managers, Editors, Bestari Partners, and Authors) must understand and comply with the norms / ethics of scientific publication.

International Martial Arts and Culture Journal is a scientific journal that publishes original articles on knowledge, studies, production, research, and the application of other research and development in the field of games and animation. All published articles have gone through a review process by bestari partners and editing by the managing editor. This journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in dealing with all aspects of publication ethics, especially how to handle research cases and publication errors. This scientific publication ethics statement is a statement of the ethical code of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, bestari partners, and authors (authors). The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications essentially upholds three ethical values in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, namely freedom from conflicts of interest in publication management; (ii) Justice, namely granting authorship rights to those entitled to be authors; and (iii) Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism in publications.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers

1.Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.
2.Determine the membership of the editorial board.
3.Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, bestari partners, and other parties to a contract.
4.Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and bestari partners.
5.Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyrights.
6.Conduct journal policy reviews and submit them to authors/writers, board of editors, bestari partners, and readers.
7.Create code of conduct guides for editors and reviewers.
8.Publish journal regularly.
9.Guarantee the availability of funding sources for the continuation of journal publication.
10.Build a network of cooperation and marketing.
11.Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

 

Editor Duties and Responsibilities

1.Improve the quality of publications.
2.Guarantee the process to maintain the quality of published papers.
3.Leading the freedom of expression.
4.Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record.
5.Submit corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if necessary.
6.Have the responsibility for organizing and formatting the paper, while the contents and any statements in the paper are the responsibility of the author.
7.Assessing published journal policies and attitudes from authors and peer reviewers to increase responsibility and minimize errors.
8.Have an open-minded personality in accepting other people's new opinions or views that are different from their personal opinion.
9.Prohibit in defending our own opinions, the authors or third parties which may result in wrong decisions.
10.Encourage writers to make improvements to their written work until it is fit for publication.


Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewer

1.Receive assignments from the editor to review the paper and submit the results of the review to the editor, as material for determining the eligibility of a paper for publication.
2.Reviewers may not conduct a review of written works that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly
3.Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, input, and recommendations
4.Encourage authors/writers to make improvements to their writing
5.Reviewing the written work that has been corrected according to predetermined standards.
6.Papers are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.).


Duties and Responsibilities of Author/Writer

1.Ensuring that those included in the list of authors/writers meet the criteria as authors/writers.
2.Responsible collectively for the work and the content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations and details.
3.State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.
4.Explain the limitations in the research
5.Respond to comments made by bestari partners in a professional and timely manner.
6.Inform the editor if you want to withdraw your written work.
7.Make a statement that the paper submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
