Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Script

Submitted manuscripts may be empirical research-based papers or literature that make substantial contributions to the development of new knowledge, theory, or methods in the field of sports. Authors are encouraged to submit their papers through the IMAC-J Journal online submission process.

Script structure

  1. Title.The title should be clear, catchy, informative, and no more than15 words .
  2. Author's name and institution. The author's name must be accompanied by the author's institution and email address, without academic title. For joint papers, one of the authors must be notified as the corresponding author.
  3. Abstract, keywords, and MRBM classification number. The abstract should be 200 to 300 words. Please include an abstract in English along with 3 to 5 relevant keywords for the literature search.
  4. Introduction.This section explains the background of the study, reviews previous research in the field, and the purpose of the paper. Most importantly, this section should also demonstrate the significance and novelty of the research.
  5. Method.This section describes the appropriate analysis tools along with data collection and analysis.
  6. Results and Discussion.This section describes the results of the analysis. These results should be presented clearly and concisely. Authors should explore the novelty or contribution of their findings by comparing them to existing literature and theory in sports education.
  7. Conclusion.This section concludes and provides practical, theoretical, and policy implications, if any, of the study. Conclusions should be drawn from the points discussed in the previous sections of the manuscript (discussion).
  8. Thank-you note, if any, should be written as a footnote to the title of the manuscript.
  9. Reference.This section only lists papers, books, or other types of publications referred to in the manuscript.

 General Writing Format

  1. The script is written in the formatA4 paperone side, and single-spaced. New paragraphs should start 5 characters from the left margin, using Times New Roman font.size 11 .
  2. The script is written ingood and correct English .
  3. The manuscript must havelength between 7 to 14 pages (4000-7000 words) .
  4. The top and bottom margins are 1.5 inches.
  5. The title is written using capital letters only for the first word or special names (example: location name), font size 14, center position.
  6. Subtitles are written using capital letters only for the first word or special names, font size 10, starting from the left margin.
  7. Subtitles, if any, should be capitalized only on the first word or special names. Subtitles should start at the left margin.
  8. Subtitles, if any, are written using capital letters only at the beginning of each word, except conjunctions, which are all printedcrooked. Subtitles should start from the left margin.
  9. Tables should be numbered sequentially in the order they appear and should use Roman numerals. The International Martial Art and Culture Journal recommends that authors minimize the number of tables. All tables should have a title directly above them. All tables should be cited at least once in the text (e.g., "as described in Table 1"). Tables should be placed horizontally, centered, and should not exceed 150 mm in width. Table data should be written in TNR font, 8-10 pt.
  10. Figures - All illustrations (graphs, diagrams, charts, drawings, photographs, etc.) must be numbered consecutively in the order in which they appear and numbered using Roman numerals. All figures must have a title (caption) placed directly below the figure. All figures must be mentioned at least once in the text (e.g., "as shown in Figure 1"). Figures cannot be drawn directly in the Word document. Figures must be imported as image files (jpg, bmp, tiff, etc.), or as objects (ppt). Black and white figures should only be provided with high contrast, and color figures should be provided with high resolution.
  11. IMAC-J journal follows APA Style referencing style
  12. References should come from publications from the last ten years (>80%), except for key references (80%). References to any textbooks should be minimized (<20%).

 How to submit a manuscript?

  1. Manuscripts in Microsoft Word should be submitted to the editor by clicking on the Online Submissions tab on our Website.
  2. A short biography containing your full name, academic title, institution, telephone number, mobile number, etc. should be written in the data column during online registration on the submit website.

Final decision

Taking into account the results of the peer review process, the decision regarding the suitability of each manuscript for publication will be notified to the authors through the website system in the following alternative conclusions:
a. Accepted without revision, or
b. Accepted with minor revisions, or
c. Accepted with major revisions, or
d. Rejected.
