Vol. 2 No. 1 (2024): International Martial Arts and Culture Journal

Volume 2 Number 1 (2024) of the International Martial Arts and Culture Journal presents five research articles addressing institutional, physical, and psychological aspects of martial arts. The studies cover the development of martial arts and combat sports institutions, physical performance factors in pencak silat, athlete motivation, burnout during the COVID-19 pandemic, and psychological strategies influencing competitive success. Several articles emphasize the relationship between physical strength, mental resilience, and performance outcomes in martial arts contexts. This issue highlights both empirical and mixed-methods approaches to understanding athlete development and well-being. The articles in this edition are authored by researchers from three countries: Poland, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
